By 2030, required to covert, your NYS home to electric heat

You will be required to covert, your NYS home, by 2030, to electric heat at an average cost of over $30,000 per home to upgrade wiring etc, unless the Climate Action Council regulations are blocked by the governor or legislature in 2023!

Hidden in the 2022 budget bills the “All-Electric Building Act” was merged and hidden in the budget, these things take effect after November! NO new building or addition may use gas/oil/ propane/wood heat after January 1, 2024. Plus, the Climate Action Council was granted power to force homeowners and other existing building owners to convert to Electric Heat. The current power grid would need hundreds of new power plants to support the load. Currently electric heat is much more expensive than natural gas, wood, propane, or oil!  The links below provide more information
